Twisted Industries will be shipping their .22LR conversion kit for the Kel-Tec PF-9 starting February 2011. I always thought that Kel-Tec's little polymer pistols would make neat little plinkers, and now I might get my chance to find out.
PF922 MSRP: $199.99 with Free Shipping for a limited time.
Twisted Industries is also planning on releasing other .22 conversion kits for Kel-Tec pistols. You can check them out at their Products page. They are coming up with a conversion for the P-3AT and the P-11.

I'm all for developing machines that can do what we consider too dangerous for our troops to do. Ariel surveillance, bomb disposal, carrying heavy loads, but where do we draw the line between giving it too much "brain" and too much "muscle"? Do I want a robot fighting my enemies? Hell, yes!
Not many people realize it, but a super volcano rests within the continental United States. Yellowstone National Park has within its limits the caldera of the volcano's previous eruption, and it's still active.
Wisconsin is finally joining the rest of civilized society and adopting a concealed carry law, Spring 2011. It has been brought up for vote two separate times, but former Gov. Jim Doyle imposed his veto powers twice and killed it. Now with Gov. Scott Walker at the helm, myself and fellow Wisconsinites, will soon have the right to exercise concealed carry in our own State.
When ever there is a tragic firearms incident in this Nation I feel like the news media are always one step away from saying, "Guns should only be in the possession of the police." Don't kid yourself, that is exactly what many people on the fringe believe. But why would they say something like that? Do they belief that the only people that know how to handle a firearm safely are the police? Which isn't true: example one and example two. So where does this knowledge of safe firearms handling come from for the common person?
Most people learn firearms safety from their parents or from a hunter's safety course that their responsible parents have sent them too. While others may seek out a professional firearms training class once they are older. But why aren't our children receiving a formal firearms safety class at a young age? Our young children are exposed to sex and drug education at an early age, but firearm instruction is out of the question? When groups like the Violence Policy Center and the Brady Campaign scream bloody murder at the top of their lungs when ever a child is injured by a gun, but detest the NRA's Eddie Eagle Safety Program which teaches young children to do the following:
Leave the area
Tell an adult
Please point out to me where in those four steps proper firearms handling is cover. It isn't. No wonder children are tempted by the 'forbidden fruit' which is taunting them at every turn. Video games, TV, movies, and the news peak childrens' interest in guns and when they do finally happen upon one; they can't help but play with it.
Why aren't we introducing children to safe firearms handling in school, right next to the drugs and sex? Let's take away that 'forbidden fruit' from children who aren't introduced to firearms by their parents.
Watching all of the talking heads and reading articles by emotionally charged people all week; I can't help but to have a feeling of great dread.
I feel like I'm standing at an intersection watching two large trucks hurl towards each other. All I can do is hold my arms out and wince; knowing a large collision is imminent, but unsure of the aftermath.
What will come out of our Country's current upheaval?
More laws? (good/bad)
More or less anger?
I guess time will tell. Until then, I'll be watching and wincing.
For those of you having trouble following his logic and reasoning for being able to own a high capacity magazine; I'll try to break it down:
He's an American
He deserves a high capacity magazine
He's an American
He deserves a high capacity magazine
He may call you names, but thanks you for listening
We need to form coherent messages concerning our positions. We need to start with the facts. Those facts will provide a solid foundation, on which, we can construct a defense against 'knee jerk' reactions. Here's a couple places to find those facts:
AHHH! There are so many cases of mysterious mass animal deaths that it's hard to keep up. I know you have some conspiracy theories, so let's hear them!
There have been too many cases to include here; so here's an interactive MAP.
Greece has decided to capitalize on the recent Border Building Bonanza! Greece is sick and tired of all the illegal immigrants coming from Turkey.
Fortifying a border is as old as civilization itself. Israel has built a wall, so has Mexico. You thought I was going to say the U.S. didn't you?
Although the US border fence received a lot of press (mostly negative) the border fence that Mexico is constructing on its southern border has not. The American tax payer even chipped in a measly $1.5 Billion to the cause in 2007.
Now the U.N. is warning Greece about securing their border. The United Nations is claiming the "proposed 12.5 km-long fence at its border with Turkey will shut out asylum-seekers fleeing violence and abuse in their troubled homelands." Hey U.N.! Stop busting their balls about the fence and try to stop the violence and abuse if it's so bad!
Some guy's HTC cell phone deflected a bullet that would have hit him in the chest while he was working at an Atlanta night club. His sense of humor is the best part. After the shooting he tells his boss, “You owe me a new cell phone.” Deflecting a bullet with a cell phone is cool, but not as awesome as deflecting a rocket with a hydraulic arm.
Why would you want to replace your trigger? A long distance varmint AR might need a lighter trigger pull than the stock trigger offers. Some .22LR conversion kits work better with unnotched hammers, and your current stock set-up has a notched hammer. Either way I'm sure you can find a good excuse to fit a quality trigger unit into your AR.
Below are three quality "drop-in" trigger upgrades. These are "self contained" units that are very easy to install.
I've only seen trigger/hammer pins fall out of the weapon during operation once, but once is enough. Not only will this stop the gun but it can also cause permanent damage to the lower receiver. For some people damage to the lower receiver may mean another stop at the gun shop and an opening of their wallet to purchase a new one. For people who have registered their lower receivers with the A.T.F., as a Class 2 weapon, this can lead to other difficulties.
Below are a couple great replacement trigger/hammer pins.
Before you start bolting all sorts of fancy stuff to your carbine you need to think about what function your gun will serve. Does your gun sit in a safe nine months out of the year? Is your gun locked into a vehicle mount or in a trunk? Do you have to carry your carbine with you; everywhere you go? Not all accessories work for all people. Take your time and do the research so you don't end up spending your hard earned money on something that will ultimately be worthless to you.

I was looking for an optic mount for a cute little Paratrooper SKS I have and naturally I turned to UltiMAK. I have one of their AK gas tube mounts and adore it. Solid mounting, low profile, practical, and quality is what you can expect from UltiMak. I didn't find a gas tube mount for my SKS, but when their website loaded I was slapped in the face with this.
M1 Garand with Aimpoint T-1 mounted via UltiMak mount
My mind was confused for a moment. Do I like this? Yes, I do. I passed on buying a Garand four years ago and I regret it even more after seeing these photos. Check out their site for more details on this mount. MSRP: $198.00
This is how I would set one up.
UltiMak offers mounting solutions for AK/Saiga, AR, M1 Carbine/Rifle, Mini 14/30, and M1A/M14's.
I didn't know there was a controversy about John Wilkes Booth's last days, but apparently there is. Everyone loves a good conspiracy and if it is true that he survived for several decades after is "death" then a part of American History will have to be rewritten.
If you don't read the "War is Boring" blog then you are missing out! The blog is authored by some witty; subject matter experts. Subscribing to their RSS feed might be the smartest thing you do all year.
I spent two years building the wall along the U.S./Mexico border and I spend many days hiking the surrounding hills and washes; but never did I see the elusive chupacabra! Now I know why... it was in Kentucky! Maybe I need to reassess where I'm looking for Bigfoot.
You know what irritates me? People who know who's going to be the top 5 picks for next year's NFL draft, but don't know my birthday... Next year looks like it's going to be a blowout year for armed conflict! I have my money on Mexico as the next pie we put our fingers in. We will probably spend money on training and beefing up the Mexican intelligence gathering efforts. Which conflict do you think will become the next Dancing with the Stars contestant?
